I will forever be grateful to Senior Living Specialists and Paul Markowitz for the help they gave me when I was at my wits end as to what I should do to improve my parents living conditions. My parents are in their mid to late eighties and have health issues that were restricting their abilities to care for themselves. Their doctor recommended I contact Senior Living Specialists for advice. We had visited several Carrollton and Plano Assisted Living facilities all over the North Dallas area but were finding they did not offer quite enough care for my mother. She was experiencing frequent falls and my father who has spinal stenosis was finding it impossible to lift her and would need to call 911 for simple tumbles out of bed. If at all possible, we did not want to have mom admitted to a nursing home as my parents wished to keep their marriage vows of remaining together through sickness and health. Their doctor and even the Assisted Living facilities doubted my mother would qualify for their facilities. Mom has early stage dementia and very real issues with incontinence and falls. He was also available to assist with other needs and referred me to a financial advisor which turned out to be perfect for my parents and also for my own future financial planning. I cannot thank Paul enough for his help in lifting much of the stress of difficult decisions needing to be made. He has an extensive list of contacts and can be trusted to give wonderful advice. In the space of a few short weeks, my parents are now settled in their new home and enjoying home cooked meals, assistance with bathing and incontinence needs.
